G'Day all,
TECCWA is proud to announce The Orient Express: Asian Car and Motorbike Show.
This first annual show is aimed at becoming the prominent event of it's type in Western Australia, to be held at:
Oakover Wines
14 Yukich Close
Middle Swan
Between 10:00am-3:00pm, Sunday April 19th, 2015.
We have chosen a venue with the desire to attract both automotive enthusiasts as well as the passing public traffic. The winery itself is a fully licensed venue with a spacious licensed area so please remember, strictly no BYO and we would appreciate your support on the day by utilising the cafe for brunch/lunch/afternoon tea needs.
As for the actual cars we want to see on the day: everything! Old, new, projects, barn finds, time pieces, restored classics, competition cars, daily drivers, ect. If you want to show it, we want you there. With the Swan Valley vineyards as a backdrop, this is also a great photo opportunity for your vehicles.
Entrants: We welcome everyone interested to complete the application form, found online at http://www.teccwa.com/orient prior to the cut off date of March 31st, 2015.
Any person or club is welcome to attend the show with any offering from an Asian manufacturer as an opportunity to pull those long hidden time pieces out of the garage or to show off your modern day classic - that's right, we are chasing those cars and bikes 20 years or older and we will also welcome a select number of "modern day classics".
In order to maintain manageable numbers on the day, once you have completed your application, the organising committee will select successful entrants to receive a registration email confirming your selection and detailed information regarding the day. Entrants are required to pay $5 each to help cover the costs of the show regardless of the number of vehicles entered. Yes, one person bringing several cars and/or motorbikes will still only pay the single $5 entry fee.
Successful entrants will be required to have their vehicle in position between 8:00am and 9:30am and to remain stationary until 3pm. For those people unable to commit to those times, we have ample space to park spectator's cars outside the display area and will try to keep the front row available for vehicles fitting of the day's event.
Spectators: Parking is available at Oakover Wines - please follow the parking marshals for directions. The restaurant will be open for business on the day too, so please feel free to bring significant others who might enjoy the family atmosphere for the day out. This year we will be asking for a gold coin donation on spectator entry with all proceeds going to the Desperate For Love Dog Pound Rescue Foundation. The benefit of this donation will allow spectators the opportunity to vote in a Spectator's Choice Award and a chance to win a raffle for themselves.
OTHER EVENT ATTRACTIONS - kids rides, wines, food, coffee, beer, paddleboats
Sponsors and Vendors: We are still seeking sponsorship deals with like minded businesses along with vendor stands for the day. We have a range of sponsorship packages available and vendor booths/areas starting at $50 per bay. For further enquires relating to sponsorship or vendor stalls, please contact TECCWA directly on [email protected] or call Clint Godde on 0403 733 054.
