I like this idea very very much!
Toymods will be attending marques in the park this year on Sunday November 9th. We were also planning on doing a weekend away down south with the CCG and Spoot guys, so now we've decided to combine it all into one weekend!
Toymods and Canberra Celica Group Weekend away.
Date: 8/9 November
Time: 10:30 for 11am leave Saturday the 8th both Sydney and Canberra
Destination: Both clubs will meet locally and meet up in Goulburn for a 1pm Lunch. From Goulburn we will cruise to Gunning via Crookwell as per map. We値l stop overnight in Gunning. Sunday morning will be an early start and we値l leave Gunning and cruise to Canberra via Sutton. Once in Canberra we値l attend Marques in the park.
Toymods Sydney meet up: Preston McDonalds. Cnr of Remembrance Drive and Ash Rd Prestons.
Route: The Hume hwy to Goulburn
CCG Canberra meet up: Queaybeyan Supercheap; cnr of Yass Road and Kings Hwy Queanbeyan.
Route: Kings Hwy to Tarago then onto Goulburn
Lunch will be at Goulburn Workers Club: 1 McKell Pl, Goulburn NSW
From there we値l cruise the fantastic sweeping roads to Crookwell stoping and taking in Pejar Dam. The great roads continue into the nights stop of Gunning.
We値l be staying at Motel Gunning: http://www.motelgunning.com.au/ they have very cheap rooms. The hotel has a restaurant and is located next door to the Telegraph hotel so there are options for dinner. Also buffet breakfast can also be organised for $15 a head.
In the morning we will head from Gunning via Gundaroo to Canberra along some other cool back ways to attend Marques in the park.
Marques is one of the two big all make car shows in Canberra. There are no awards, its just a day for cool cars to park together on the grass. Most years see a few hundred cars show up. The show is on at John Knight Memorial Park Lake Ginninderra, Belconnen ACT.
People can start leaving fairly early in the afternoon for the return run home from Canberra.
Hope people can make it, its been years since the clubs have been away together. It will be a great weekend to catch up with old friends and meet some more. A chance to discuss all things Toyota and have a look at some nice rides. Looking forward to seeing you there

1st car away at 9am and usually finished at about 3pm in the afternoon. It is located on Sutton road near QBN and Sutton road connects to the Highway back to SYD . So easy the leave hillclimb and head back to the big smoke . Some of the Toyota runners that are usally there are MR2 , RA23 , AE93 ,AE71 (20V), KE70 VAN 4AGTE, AE86 , CLUBMAN 4AGZE and heaps of GTS 86's.
Cars, beer and shit talk = good weekend
Count me in
In some sort of fairyland my car could be done for this

doesnt mean you cant come along for the cruise and shenanigans tho!
Bloody tempting but suspect I'll be cursing at the Celica trying to get it ready for the Snowy 1000

Sounds like MITP is on the same time as the Hillclimb then. Location permitting you can usually drive off from MITP from around 1pm onwards, so could spectate any remaining hillclimbers, but otherwise it's only going to be one or the other.
I'll be very pissed off if my adub ain't running for this years event.

i should probably cross-post this in the act section so more people see it....
absolutely Vito, some of the Canberra guys need at least 2 months notice to come up with their excuses
