It can be adapted to pretty much anything, providing you're happy to work with a max of 4 injector output and 3 ignition outputs. It's got a crapload of features for the price, and Andy the creator is pretty accomodating if you have something weird and wonderful that needs new firmware for it.

What in particular were you wanting to know?

I was thinking along the lines of something to refine the standard management on a 7MGTE

I'm planning on using an Adaptronic on my 1GGTE, using 7MGTE coils and a Microtech X4 igniter. I'm also using 7M injectors. I forsee no problems at all with what you're proposing, and I dare say it should require a similar setup to the 1G (as I plan to have it) which would mean configuration files are already available.

It will not control the factory 7MGTE igniter as that uses a constant signal and an addressing signal to tell it which coil to fire, it isn't totally "dumb" like the X4 is.

im using one on my 1ggte and it runs really well... 'camrygt' is the man who installed and tuned it, he's pretty knowledgeable on the ecu's, if not then Andy the creator will help.

a very handy thing about the ecu is, now my 1G has been tuned and tested with the computer, any other 1G or similiar engine can just put the config file on their laptop and it's all their ready to go cutting out a lot of the tedious configuring.

Just a question relating to config: theoretically that is exactly the same as what I did with my old wolf 3d loading a working map. Still didn't work. What is to say that this will work?

The config file for an Adaptronic isn't just the maps, its everything.. crank angle config/timing settings, all the temperature sensor calibrations, maps, idle control config etc.

basically if you save the config file in a car with an adaptronic swap the ECU for a brand new blank ECU and load the file back into the new one, the car will run exactly the same.

If someone has done an Adaptronic on a 7M before you will virtually only need to wire it, then check the tune the rest should be very close. I'd say the 1G file would be very close also

the easiest way to get some info about them is to download the WARI program from the adaptronic website (its free) run it, click on load from file and then cancel. Have a look through the different menus and you will find most of the features
