    Default rt142 coilover convertion options

    hey guys,

Im looking for a simple bolt in coilover convertion for my 86 rt142 corona sedna. At the moment i have custom 8kg AJPS springs in the front but they are not low enough and the shocks cant handle them to well.
Is the best option to go to coilovers or are there better and cheaper solutions?
So far i have found this pair https://technotoytuning.com/toyota/r...on-ra64-celica
I know ra65 and rt142 have the same front suspension set up but are ra65 and ra64 the same?

    Any help would be apreciated.

    Cheers,

Ae86 have the same strut tube diam. so you can use any ae86 shock and weld on coilover kit.

Okay thats good to know. do you have any idea wether ra64 and ra65 are the same strut type? Or do you know of any bolt in coilover conversions? This techno toy tuning mob have ra64 and ma61 coilovers which i think would bolt in but im not 100%.
Also does anyone know how good techno toy tuning coilovers are?

    Cheers, Brad

You can buy AE86/MX73 BC/megan etc coilovers, they are all the same. You just weld the corona stub axle on and away you go.

Or you can build custom ones, same deal as making AE86 ones, Plenty of inserts like TRD blue/yellow, KYB AGX sw20. Cut down the housing 40mm and weld on a coilover sleeve. If you are going really low, off the shelf kits might be better as they are base adjustable etc.

Iv'e personally always stayed away from T3 Gear. I wouldn't bother with their coilovers, they are stupid.
