Intermittant wiper setting no worky!

Hi

Jsut picked up an MA70 and the intermittant wiper setting does not work. Everything else wiper related doess. Still pretty unfamiliar with the car, so can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I may need to replace.

Wiper relay or the input to the relay from the switch in the intermittant position sounds likely. It should be under the dash. It may be working and just a bad connection so stick your head under the dash and see if you can hear it clicking at the normal interval.

To find the relay I would pull the cable off the wiper motor and move the wiper switch and find it by listening for the clicking of the relay.

Once you find the relay I would pull the connector off and verify that for every switch position the relay is gettiing a different power input. If it is then I would find another wiper relay. If not then maybe a dirty contact in the switch

If you can get another relay cheap then just try it straight away.

I have sourced a replacement relay, so I will probably drop that in first and if that fails will look further into it. Thanks for the pointers.
