Hi. Went to replace the tailshaft centre bearing on the Supra today, and after taking it all apart went to put the new (aftermarket) replacement. After torqueing down the output flange though the centre bearing would not turn as it was binding. Pulled it all back apart to measure 'why' and found that the two dust flanges each side of the new bearing are 2mm wider than the originals. So it all just binds up as it is 4mm wider than the original. The bearing itself is the same width as the original at 8mm, but the dust flanges measure around 15mm each side of the bearing rather than the 13mm of the original bearing. Anyone else found that problem with aftermarket centre bearings? Not really wanting to shim it 2mm each side, but see no point in buying another one (yes I decided to destroy it in the name of science...) if it is going to be the same. And has anyone else bought one recently that did fit so I can buy one from the same place?

John
