Alternative for fried JDM Powerfold Mirror Relay / ECU

Hi there,

I recently installed JDM powerfold mirrors on my import AE92 and have just inadvertently fried* the Power-fold mirror Controller / Relay. I bought used from an Importer in VIC and have just been advised by Justin@Amayama that this part < P/N 87989 -12011 > is no longer available new (Sh$%t ! ).

* I mounted it in the passenger door in same recess used by another factory relay on the drivers door. I got water on it when I washed the car as the original plastic sealer sheet under the door card was pretty much in tatters. The mirrors now open / close continually (so I pulled the radio fuse).

I was on another (Philippines) Forum a few weeks ago when I first started looking into this (power-fold mirrors) and someone there said my AE91 / 95 power-fold mirrors will only work with this specific module**. Can anyone confirm or negate this??

Can anyone tell me if there are any alternatives open to me and comment on the below options?

Thought about giving Trademe/wreckers in NZ and ebay UK a look? A lot of imports land there too so they might have the relay.
