Callum. If you could give more info on engine. Intake type ie carb whether blow or suck through system, or injection. If blow through system is carby/s encased in plenum/ airbox.

Currently im still using a mechanical fuel pump on my 3t turbo, ive had this problem for a while where it runs out of legs at around 4-5k and wont rev any higher, im about to redo my igniton but first I want to play with the fuel setup, im not sure what pump to get (holley red or blue??) i have a boost sensitive fuel reg that a mate gave me which i will be using.
Any suggestions would be great!

3TC bored out to 2000cc, low comp pistons, suck through setup with a Zenith 175CD carby, garret t3 turbo with an external wastegate
I would personally look at an EFI pump such as the Walbro 255L. You will need to pair it up with an EFI pump to carb regulator such as the Mallory 4309 or similar.
My reasoning is I have seen you threaten to go EFI if you cannot make the draw through perform to your satisfaction. An EFI pump and the 4309 regulator would also work if you were to use a blow through setup also (just run boost line to the regulator).
They are cheap and much more versatile than the Holley pumps which would have to be ditched if converting to EFI later etc...

After ive done the fuel side im doing igniton next, already have an MSD blaster 3 coil and an accuspark magnetic pickup to replace the old hall effect in my dizzy, Im about to buy a MSD BTM to make life easier, im wondering how the boost sensor in the module will cope with a fuel/air mix??

just looking at that walbro 225L, it seems i must runs a return back to the tank, my carby doesnt have a return on it, or would the pressure regulator cancel the need for a return??
Yes you will need a return line to tank!
If the pump is mounted up the back then you will need the feed line from the pump to the regulator then an equal size or slightly bigger return line from the regulator back to the tank. I figure it would be better to go through the pain exercise now than find a steaming pile of Holley pump and dead head junkheap regulator need the boot as soon as you start making a half decent amount of horses.Once again the EFI route will need basically the same.
I just finished running a second walbro 255 with its supply line and a -12 (3/4 inch) return line and just for giggles a 5/8 inch puke tank line. Thats 4 lines now doing zip tie durability testing under the floorpan...![]()

ah i see, i was going to get an external one and just run it along the rail in the bay, ive never seen a regulator with a return on it just an in and out, i will also just use the original return line that is plumbed up from when i upgraded from the original carby.

Unfortunately the regulator you show in the link will not work for your draw through carb setup, it will not work for a carb full stop, they are purely EFI high pressure only!
The Holley style single line in and out regulator will only work with agricultural carb pumps like their Red and Blue series. You cannot run one of those regulators on a system with a high pressure EFI pump, you will need a bypass return style regulator with ability to take the high pressure EFI delivery down to carb pressure if you are going to run my direction. The Mallory 4309 regulator http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/maa-4309 is a reasonably cheap option which I have used myself with success.
