Differnt size and shape between the two sorry. You could make an adaptor but as blacktop itbs are cheap and located in most pickaparts would be easier to pick up a set.
Looking for info based on actual experience if a silver top intake with ITBs will fit and bolt up w/o modifications to a black top head. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the USA and black top parts are scare. They are not in the junk yards. Most websites don't even carry them. Lastly, I want to use the smaller ST ITBs on a BT head for a race motor to keep velocity high. This is the reason for my inquiry. Now I know what will work and what won't. Thx
I have fitted it, you can die grind the edges of the silvertop manifold and gasket and it fits up real nice. You will probably pick up power everywhere.
Wow!! Sam _Q you are the man!! Just to be clear, I should do a port match of the silver top manifold to the black top head and ports. Further, should I use the silver top intake gasket or the black top gasket for the port match? Lastly, does your website have any pics and/or instructions to perform this?

Sam, Does your website have instructions and pictures of this procedure or can this procedure be found elsewhere?
I don't have any links with other info and it was a long time ago. The blacktop head stays the same so the blacktop gasket/spacer thing is used.
Taking a bit of an educated guess I would say I put the blacktop gasket on the head, had a look to see how close it was, put it on the silvertop intake manifold, noted the difference with a scriber and then enlarged the manifold with a die grinder.
Important to note though- if the gasket is bigger than the original blacktop port then don't directly transfer the gaskets outline over. The gasket hole can end up being larger than the port or the manifold no problem. Not sure if that makes sense.
Do you have this original blacktop gasket?
No I don't have either gasket. All I have is the silver top manifold w/ ITBs and a black top head. However, I understand your instructions above. Thx.
ideally look for 2nd gen silvertop throttles... better manifold.
Information is POWER... learn the facts!!
