Not a lot of room to move on the BT item. Some may tell you to never machine a cast iron flywheel.
Low 5kg? how much do you think 500 grams will benefit you?
The BT unit is a quality piece, less meat is more weakness.
Is it possible to get it machined to be lighter then the stock 5.9kg? The cost of an aftermarket one is a bit out of my budget. Would like low 5kg or late 4kg.

I didn't have a BT fly at the time of swapping in a ST engine so i machined the ST fly to similar fashion as BT with cutouts between clutch bolts and turned the underside to less than the BT weight. I think 5.3kg. then had it balanced with the clutch pressure plate (which was way out). But for less than the price of balancing it I couldve just bought a BT fly. It is light enough that it stalls out easily at the lights so throttle before clutch is a must.
