So am I asking a completely stupid question here or hasnt anyone done this before?
Hi guys,
Planning the next stage of Cressbox's makeover, Just wondering if front and rear cradles from X83 Chassis will be a fairly simple fit into my X73?
I can fabricate if need be and do all the mechanical work myself.
Main reason I want to do this is to be able to use the better aftermarket support for x8x (coilovers, suspension in general) and also get the 5 stud conversion, diff and brake upgrades relatively cheaply.
The ideal thing would be to get a donor shitter for cheap and strip it for its underpinnings.
Just seeing if anyones done it yet and whether you think it would be worth it over the x73 suspension and shit.
Cheers,
Barrsy

Doubt anyone has gone it. with so many other options out there and X8 having the least amount of support compared to A70/A80 rears i would be looking towards that.
it would require a lot of chopping is my guess
front is a direct bolt in, just use the x7 rack and you will get more lock (also if you use a series 2 x-member jz will bolt straight in to!).
rear on the other hand... never heard of it been done and if you look under the car you will know why.
I kinda figured rear would be tricky seeing as the x7/a6 rear end is saddle spring and the x8/a7 rear end is strut.
thanks for the heads up
