Dimensions for 4AGE 20V valve shims...

Just while I think of it... does anyone have the dimensions of a 20V valve shim, or have a shim lying round that they could measure ? Googling has not produced anything helpful, and I would like to know...

1. Outside diameter
2. Inside diameter
3. Overall height

Precision Shims only seem to list their shims by dimensions, not by application. And I'd like to see if the shims they list are the correct size for the 20V.

jiondee86, to build a nice little 4A-GE use the shimless buckets from the Yaris engine. They are available in a gazillion different thicknesses. You will then have an engine that will never throw a shim!

First determine the shim size that you will need using standard 4A-GE buckets. Measure thickness of an existing bucket, add the two together and that is the size you order from Mr Toyota.

Thanks Chuck... but I'm not asking the question for myself. More for the folks who have 20V's and choke a bit on the price of genuine Toyota shims (or have trouble even finding someone who can supply). If precision do the correct size at a good price, it might help to put a bit of business their way

20V use ,"5mm lash cap" shims that they list on there web site.
16V use " 25mm flat shim"
