    Default 2jzge mx83 problems

OK so I went the 2jzge route into mx83 to get some reliability and a bit more go and also less blown head gasket action, did everything mechanical myself and nd prepared myself to do the wiring but decided on paying someone to do it so I could get everything to work like it should out of factory,(and null fault lights, diagnostics and the rest) well I got the car back (done) and cold start doesn't work temp gauge old just sit on hot even when it was cold( I fixed that, brown wire needs to be earthed on 83 body loom plug) no check engine light, it idles to low and ruff(wants to almost stall even at running temp) and god only knows what else is wrong, I don't know if it's making healthy power as I have nothing to compare it too, it is a 2jzge out of a jza80, auto loom but I'm running a w58, any help or opinions are welcome and appreciated, I'm in Melbourne if anyone one wants to have a little look or tinker cheers

No disrespect at all but i have started the thread to get help and info on what I should look into, not to hear people's judgments on what I should and shouldn't have done, as dumb as my choices with wiring may seem to you or anyone else I actually am a little competent and would like to look over it myself instead of having a shit fight with the mechanic I took it to.

so please send any use full information my way

    cheers

Well u most probably need a tacho booster
Do a search and see how to make one its not hard
Or others have pulled tacho out and removed resistors to get it to work
And hopefully they have hooked up the tacho wires

Check engine light u need to find the "w" wire from 2j ecu and join it to the Cressida "w" wire

Also while it is running remove the idle motor plug and check the two centre wires for 12v
If not they need to be connected to the black/red on the Cressida loom which come from efi relay and it called +b and +b1
And it's not constant battery power , its output power from efi relay

And hopefully they have hooked up the mrel power and ecu backup battery power properly because this will affect the
Idle motor resetting and working properly

Once u hook up the check engine light then u can see what else they have fked up if the light comes on while driving
I do have a help desk service over the phone if u can't figure it out
I can wire Cressidas in my sleep with one hand tied behind my back

This might help (if you haven't found it already). Will help more if the 2JZGE is from a JZA80

when you turn the car off the ecu keeps the main efi relay on for a few seconds to reset the idle control. you will here it make a ticking noise.
