One thing and another has got in the way as usual, so the Motorkhana Krolla has been left on the sidelines. Thanks to Ryan the AE82 is alive and registered, Ryan has been using it as a daily and as a Tofu delivery vehicle after hours.

We have not found a suitable practice place for throwing the beast around, so not a lot of practice has gone on!.

The Phil Lawrence supplied hydraulic handbrake required some nasty size fluid fittings, which have just arrived, so time to maker a bracket and mount the thing I suppose.

Where can one purchase some 1.5mm steel plate these days? Since my local metal centre closed I have no clue where to find smaller pieces of metal. Herzogs, too expensive, the Metal Centre and Metal Mart in Fyshwick not able to deal with smaller pieces. Just need to make a bracket so we can hang the unit off the side of the tunnel.

Ryan when can wee schedule the work and the clean and polish.

    cheers Chuck.

Yeah sorry Chuck, forgot to mention all of the commercially available hydro handbrake setups use an odd thread requiring adapters or odd fittings....... my bad. The US and UK brake proportioning valves seem to do the same also (wilwood etc) but at least they usually come with said adapters.....

Are you gonna weld or bolt a steel bracket to the tunnel?

Not a problem Phil, they were easily obtainable.

Will use a nutsert kit to give 4 bolt points on the side of the tunnel. Carpet flap can go back over the holes when the brake is removed at end of khana days.

The AE82 Khana K'Rolla also known as the TuRD is ready to rock!

Hydraulic handbrake installed and tested AOK!

We even dragged out the buffing machine and compound, you will not recognise it as the same Tofu delivery vehicle of yesterday. Even got an internal vacuum clean.

The drivers window glass has had a liberal coating of glue to hold it in its regulator mount, so almost weather proof.lol.

Finishing touches to be applied by Ryan, but we did fit the TuRD sticker before he left.

see you all out at Hall on Friday morning guys, only 5 more sleeps!

    cheers Chuck.

Make friends with a welding/fabrication shop so you can raid their scrap bin. Sorry, I'm not telling you where my secret bin is.

Awesome weekend away, as usual its the people that make the event. Sorry ass lack of numbers though.

Actual car clubs were much diminished in number, no representatives from lots of clubs.

Pizza on Friday night has long lost its lustre, time to try something else.

Had to let some Failcodores into the motorkhana to make up the numbers.

The show and shine barely managed 3 rows of cars on the oval. 54 cars was the number I heard.

The drags were only successful due to the huge number of Dubbo Car Club entries. Lunch was called at 11.30 after nearly everyone had 3 passes under their belt.

We have the 40th coming up in 2016, lets hope the @#$%t is all in one pile by then!

40 cars for the 40th anniversary looking likely at this rate Chuck?

Shame to hear numbers are on the steady decline still. Hope you guys had a lot of fun regardless.

Ebb and flow. Numbers have been worse in the past at times and some fresh blood will come through again in the future......tough for the committed who ride out the quiet times and keep the event alive though.

I'm there again, once I have a car to justify attending
