Checked ignition system?
Hello all,
Having the usual hestitation problem with my 90 celica gt4 rc conversion. Some times it will pull hard and have full boost, then the longer you drive the worse it gets, more hesitation, more bucking on boost and decreased drivability particulary in third gear.
So i originally had 2 codes for the AFM so i got it tested at an efi specialist and it came up perfect.. So i changed the ecu.
Originally the first thing i noticed when i changed the ecu it felt better idling and low revs but as i got further into the drive the exact same problem happened but this time error code 21 (o2 sensor/heater) and no mention of the AFM codes that i got constantly from the other ecu??
Wtf?
Any ideas on what to do?
Thanks

Just wondering if the coil is getting warm and crapping out, since it gets worse the longer it runs.
Not sure how that relates to the codes you are getting, but if it's misfiring could cause some funky stuff to happen.

Any chance it can be a faulty Oxygen sensor or a intake vacume leak?

And you have not checked your Turbo yet, fault codes are one thing, failure of the turbo itself could happen when the oil solidifys or Cokes and reduces the life of that turbo causing all kinds of problems which can show up as a O2 fault code.
