I believe TRD released 2.92 gears for the *A70 for racing purposes back in the day

2.92
Looks like a MA70 IRS setup to me...?
Looks pretty serious, has an AN fitting for a breather and a big one on the rear for a cooler maybe?
Output shafts are custom as I can see some neat tig welding on them too
Seller got it wrong or is it something else?
Never knew toyota made 2.92 gears for anything

yes, there were 2.9x G series gearsets from TRD, though something about the casting on that housing looks different to an A70, I can't pick what though? The mounting points do look correct.
agree there must have been an oil cooler setup running off those two extra fittings, must have been in something serious!

cv mounts/hubs are different to A70s that I have seen

Toyota used 2.9 ratio in most 4WD setups. ST165,185,205 etc. AE95 uses same gears in live axle.

All of those cars use a pretty pissy little diff compared to this though right? (except maybe the ST205 grp A)
JustenGT8 could confirm for sure, IIRC he ran a Group A MA70 TRD diff with a 2.9* ratio in the V8 Sillycar

Apart from the modified flanges it looks just like the A70 diff I put into the front of my Hilux although my ratio was 4.3
Jealousy is a curse
It seems that all longitudinal engine construction has 3.9:1-4.1:1 ratios and transverse engine construction has 2.9:1
2005 Alphard has also 2.9
