Default 1uz rear to front sump

I had a look but could not see any info on converting a 1uz rear sump to front sump.
Just need to know what is needed?
Sump obviously, and oil pick up? Or can the oil pick up be turned around?
Do the sumps bolt straight up to the alternate upper sumps?
This and any other info would be great!

    Thanks in advance,
    Dom

    Cheers for the reply Ian.
Just to clarify, I need Sump, Upper Sump, Oil Pick up tube and some bolts?
    Does that about cover it?
Anyone have Ideas where I can get this stuff?
I've pretty well exhausted all leads I could think of in Perth bar going to toyota.
Nothing on ebay or gumtree and not getting any luck on hear as of yet

The front sump 1uz came out definitely in the crown, but not to sure what else, so you might have to look for a crown 1uz motor or at least the sump out of one ..

i was lucky with one of mine , a fellow forum member needed a mid sump so we just swapped
86 slider , you need the alloy centre piece and the metal bottom bit as well as the pickup

Thanks Ian. Now to find one.
Does $365 sound like a fair price?

if it comes with all bolts, that seems like a fair price, i was lucky and swapped my rear for a front and only having to pay postage
when i did mine however i found that the threaded holes in my block were only m6 and the sump required m8 bolts, i drilled and tapped out the holes to m8 and purchased all the bolts to suit, unfortunately aftermarket bolts have a 13mm head instead of 12mm, try and get all the bolts with it, it will make for a more factory look, even though the engine probably never came in the car...
hopefully your block wont need to be modified.

    its a bit exy
but it means that you can get one , if one turns up later at a cheaper rate you can always on sell it , for a small handling fee

I think you will need the correct windage plate as well

pressed sheet of steel that sits between the alloy section and steel section of the sump, pickup passes through it, helps stop oil splashing around

maybe off topic but probably deserves a mention, are the dipsticks the same between both motors? Easy way to check is epc.data or toyodiy, my brain is telling me its only a problem when north/southing an east/west motor... Better safe than sorry.

not north/southing an east/west engine but you did raise the point it seems we all forgot, yes you will also need the dipstick and dipstick tube
