    Default jzs171 into mx83 speedo

    Hey Guys,

Been driving my 1j around for a while now and been using my GPS as a speedo... Some prick decided they needed my GPS more than me last night and smashed my window to grab it. FFS it was a $50 one from Repco.

Anyway, I want to wire up the cluster one now, but there doesn't appear to be one in the jzs171 loom that goes to the dash, if i read correctly it uses a multiplex serial connection to provie speed.

So , given there is the SP2 input to the ecu, can I tap into that with a diode and pass the signal to the dash?

I've identified the signal pin on the body loom already.

    Thanks
    Matt
