The Annual Picnic At Hanging Rock - A Classic Vehicle Show not to be missed
Clubs & Groups arrangements for attendance
Victoria Police and MRADMC traffic marshalls are at key points to direct traffic and their directions must be obeyed at all times.
For those car clubs attending the event and intending to park together the following steps should be followed
a) Meet somewhere close to form your group (ie Woodend - but not on the roads close to the reserve)
b) The lead car driver should know how many cars are in the group - and the details of the last car (colour - model)
c) Travel towards the event site by your preferred route in line (traffic conditions permitting)
d) As you pass each manned traffic point - first car to advise the club marshall of the group details
e) Marshalls will keep the group together as far as is practical and direct all to the same gate
f) At the gates - let the gate staff know that you are a group(as per b)
Staff in the driveways and parking areas will attempt to keep the entire group together taking into account the available spaces and traffic volumes at the time.
If for some reason you are split up - please note that once the peak taffic time has passed it is permissable to move vehicles around taking into account other vehicles, space and of course the pedestrians.
Under no circumstances may cars park in the driveway to regroup - there are thousands of vehicles moving in the opening hours and traffic delays impact the etire event and external roads
This process has worked successfully for many clubs over the years but it is important to note that at peak traffic times the Traffic Controller's primary objective is to keep the roads and access points moving and clear.
This MAY result in some splitting up of groups on first admission - if you assist us with these simple guidelines we will work to assist you have a geat event
If your club wishes to erect a small tent or picnic space - please remember not to set up until the parking area you are in is full and then make sure that you leave space for other patrons to move around and look at your cars and others nearby.

I'd love to join you guys, got my ra40 to bring. Lookin at joining a club too , any club reps going?
Plenty of club members will be there. Our membership person won't be at the event, he will be at the first round of the vic super sprint championship.
Its also a bit of a ball ache doing it on the day, you are far better off to go to the club website, download the membership form, and do it all electronically.
That way everyone gets to enjoy the show, rather than worrying about paperwork and money etc etc

Nah , that's fair enough. Coming from the Mornington Peninsula . Anyone on the way?
