Default AE-82 rear demister and wiper switches

    Hey Guys,
Was fixing the lights in the dash for my sisters car but i cannot seem to get the switches to connect back up to the wiring agian. They just dont seem to fit properly as they look like they should just push back in but they dont they were a little difficult to get out just wanted to know is there are any specific tricks to getting them back in.

just line them up properly and they slot straight in.
form memory the wiring whould be on the inner(towards the cluster) the the switch closer to the drivers door has the wiring on the passenger side, and the opposite for the other side if that makes any sense, i neve had a problem getting them back in.

i've got exactly the same problem at this moment after replacing dash lights to white. Is the problem that the connected doesn't fit into the slot??

If so, i just pulled the connector off and soldered the wires on just enough for them to connect so if i have to pull it out again it's come off without ripping our all the wiing
I have been pruned by old man river!!!!!
