Camry 3S swap planning

Hi chaps,

Just making a thread to ask for advice .

newly acquired v6 5 speed camry wanting to stick a 3sgte inside (gen 3 if i can find one)

I have not even had a poke around yet to dark .........

I have found a stack of info about yanks doing the swap in 5s equipped cars but no one going from v6 to 3s and whats needed in that regard.

i have been told that the mounts are the same as the v6 is to the 3s that seems a bit odd but ill need to check

i have the good gearbox already E153 so i know that , that will join the 3sgte



long story short any one has had experience in the above

whats with the motor mounts being the same as a v6?

i would have thought they would be different

The gearbox has the front and rear mounts. The other mount is at the front near the cambelt. So you should only need that one.

lol. 1994 is a year, but let me help you out, if it's got the 3vz then you've got a vcv10.
gearbox will has three mounts, front back and PS which are all retained. You then get your 3S and get a the DS mount to fit. You may be able to use part of the mount from the 5s and bolt it onto the 3s. Just look into 3s swaps for 5sfe camry's over in the US and you'll find heaps more info.

from memory your clutch might just match up to the 3sgte flywheel.
