    Default SW20 3SGE vs 3SGTE dizzy caps

    Hey guys,

I need a dizzy cap and ignition leads for my (1999) SW20. toyota wanted $170 for the cap and $295 for the leads, which is a bit more than I am willing to spend. Cheapest I could find was ~$95 for the cap from bursons and ~$200 for the leads from repco. Looking online I can find them for a reasonable price from the states, but all their NA stuff is 5SFE. So will the 3SGTE cap and leads fit fine? They look almost identical to me, but it would be my luck to get the bits here and the bolt holes are 2mm different or something stupid, so just wanted to double check first.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Chris

EDIT: FYI prices for the turbo bits from twos r us
    US$30 for cap
    US$101 for leads

just be careful you get a matching set as some are clip and some are push.

    Cheers Blake,

Amayama have them a bit cheaper than the others, but more expensive than twos r us, and they still need to come in from japan or UAE anyway so may as well get the bits from america so long as they fit.

    Cheers,
    Chris

Got the parts in. Dizzy cap and rotor are perfect. Leads are shorter than what I had and the #1 lead doesn't quite reach. So maybe the distributor body is longer on the 3SGE than the 3SGTE, or maybe I got dodgy leads.

    Cheers,
    Chris
