I went thru my shit from 20 years ago and I have a microtech d4 if u want
2 bucks this leaves u 2000 bucks to get it tuned hehehe
Cressida will very soon need a new ECU to suit the single setup;
Not overly keen on spending $2500 for a ECU full of features I'll never need nor use. The only features I want is the ability to retain the OEM ignition setup, have a few outputs for fans and what not, be able to run high impedance injectors without issue and have the ability to run open/closed with a wideband.
Any suggestions?
Front runners for a 2JZ are Haltech PS2000's, Link G4's and AEM S2 pnp.......... all of which seem expensive for what I need.
Needs to be able to be tuned readily, not game enough to do it myself.

That's old school habib shit right there, bring your own screwdriver lol
Adaptronic E420d, just bought one- $990 retail and you'd be struggling to find another ECU with comparable features for the price.
If not then I've got the Haltech Sprint 500 that was replaced by it if you'd like something really barebones![]()
The Smurf: A 1972 TA22 with a 2TGEU, individual throttle bodies and a bad attitude.
I dont recommend running semi-sequential injection. Throttle response and cold start will be compromised. And warm/hot idle will be compromised. (I converted my 1jz to full sequential injection and it solved my remaining problems)
AEM? I know quite a few 2jz american guys who avoid AEM like the plague!
Yes I take my screwdriver everywhere incase I need to adjust a d4
Have adaptronic made the software better to understand
Until then I won't go near it
I prob won't go near a lot of aftermarket ecus hehehe
your best bet is to find a tuner that your happy with and see what there use to tuning with. if your doing it on a budget then I would go with a microtech. they work fine and don't blow the budget though the roof but its when you start chasing power is when there not as good as the more expensive ecu's on the market. im running a wolf v500, its really good and it has more features then I need but gives me room to move if I ever deside to chase big power later. The wolf v500 and v550 can also control the factory auto if your still using one of them.

There is a haltech E11v2, haltech ignitor and loom for sale on the Supra forums.
Thinking about it, little short of $$ this week though.
I'm sooo careful about buying second hand ECU's...two out of three that I've bought have had issues with them.
Every seller always says they're all good, but low and behold when the shit hits the fan they suddenly disappear and you've just wasted your money![]()

Well that's normally what happens when u do things on a budget
Can normally turn out more expensive
Just get adaptronic or microtech
Wired up afew big 1j drag cars with microtechs and they will work fine if you run a manual gbox
Dneg. Fairly sure Simmo is using an emanage with a patch loom off the shelf. Plug in and go....
I built and installed a Megasquirt and found that was insanely cheap compared to any alternatives. I even managed to convert over a Haltech map for a base tune. The learning curve was extremely steep but worth it once it was going.
No shops here sell them and finding one that will try........ easier to get blood out of a stone.
I've asked around, and its either "not interested...... would you like to buy a Haltech?" or "err.... dont they have a heap of issues? you might be better off buying a used XXX"
A MS3 would be a good option for what I want and whilst I can wire one in, it defeats the point when the majority of good workshops wont touch it and the person who does either does a dodgy job or charges the difference.
