    Default Random question

    Hi
I am trying to work out if my ta23 celica has a collapsible steering column out of curiosity, it has 4 bolts around the middle section with 2 welds on it but I'm not sure, thanks.

my TA22 does, so I would assume a 23 does also.. if you were to pull the centre steering shaft out you sohould see that it's two halfs (top slides into the bottom) the two halfs are "stuck" together by a plastic that is injected into the low half at time of manufacture... this is probably cracked and broken by now tho lol...

search 1st gen rack and pinion conversions if you want a better idea of what I'm on about.. plenty of pics showing this.

Collapsable Collumns came in the late 60s.. so all Celicas are so equipped.. wouldnt like to put one to the test though.

    all celica's have something collapsible

also I suggest a more descriptive thread title, you will likely have a greater response to your question
