Gen 3 1GGTE injector upgrade - 1JZ, 7M, 3S??? Aftermarket???

Hi all,

Looking to upgrade the injectors in my 1GGTE, not looking at huge injectors, something 380cc up to 450cc would be plenty.

I have researched and a lot of guys say to use 7MGTE but there the wrong resistance. I have also seen mentioned gen 3 3SGE injectors as a small upgrade (380cc?).

Basically just wanted to know what will actually fit/work with the least mucking around.

Just wondering if its easier to say buy some Bosch or similar injectors instead of using Toyota units.

I got 7mgte in mine which are 440cc but yea are different impedance but I wend aftermarket ecu so that sorts it all out

what are you using to control them? can use 7m and add resistors. or i think rx8 are 450 and high impendance.

I've got rc engineering 550's. Theyre pretty cheap new.

but you need an aftermarket setup, because they have bosch plugs.

Im using a emanage blue which is meant to be able to control bigger injectors up to I think 20-30% bigger, for my power goals of around 220-230rwkw I only need slightly bigger then factory, I think the stock gen 3 ones will flow to about 190rwkw.

I'll look into the rx8 injectors, will have to find out if they'll fit, but price wise there cheap enough and should be readily available.

550cc 13b injectors fit but dont have a great spray pattern, i have used them before though.

Whats wrong with the spray pattern?

Think of your garden hose without a nozzle on it, and one with a spray nozzle on the end, thats the difference.

Don't get me wrong they do work, i used them for a few years, but went back to 440cc 7M injectors, as my old microtech MTX8 could control them a heap better.

From memory there are 2 different 13BT injectors too, you have to get the right ones from memory, this was a lot of years ago and cant recall the difference.

Ok cool thanks. Im looking into RX8 injectors to, not sure if they will be any better spray wise.

I hear that mitsi evo injectors drop right in. they go from 510cc - 560cc I think. Not sure about impedance either..

Caldina gte injs are top feed 540cc and hi imp. 4 hole.
