    Great work rdorman!
I'll be keen so see how they settle in. I guess you've already got 8kg for the fronts.

marvis, 6kg for the adjustable height rears? do you know the length and inner diameter of them?
yeah mate already got 8kg fronts, couldnt be bothered putting the 8kg rears in then swapping them a couple of weeks later car handles so much better with the fronts done, tight new bushes and balljoints, and the t3 steering arms! would be nice to get a bit more lock but that means cutting / bashing the lock points on the LCA.

Are those adjustable collars to suit a specific spring size, or do they suit the standard spring diameter?

The collars suit 119mm ID springs.
Stock rear springs are 117mm ID.

will do a proper update soon, but in the meantime the springs and shocks are in, and feelsgoodman.jpg

82MKII, i did the shocks like you did with the nut on the bottom to give it a bit more length, without it they fitted nice up top but too short down the bottom? with the nut there i had trouble and couldnt get the new superpro bushes on because they werent squashed enough, so i ended up giving up, lubed up and reused the older ones. werent cracked or anything anyway.

how much length have you got left of thread down the bottom? i think ive only got 30-35mm left in the tube, specs say min 25mm. these shocks were made for going low as feck, but not too good at a normal driving height! after sitting for an hour they are sitting about 635mm from guard to ground.. would like it a bit higher!

shocks are sitting about the middle of the perches, but its at that height where the spanners just about cant get in there to adjust? =/

oh well, i might readjust to get them a little higher sometime. on the bottom of the shocks, can you see any thread through those little holes in the bottom mount?

    Rdorman,
sorry for late reply - busy time currently.
I re-used the old bushes from the top of my shocks - so they fitted ok.
In terms of how far I threaded the shock body into the lower mounting, I can see thread through the little hole in the lower mounting, so there is at least 35mm of thread engaged. I also measured how much thread on the shock body is 'sticking out' of the lower mounting - about 168mm from the top of thread to the top of the nut.
