So... I've used
http://wilbo666.pbworks.com/w/page/4...ngine%20Wiring
and
http://members.shaw.ca/boltz/7MGTE-M...ness_Plugs.htm
to rewire the MX83 T5 22 pin ECu connector into F60 and F59 of the Jzs161 connectors
I tried comparing the engine to body loom connectors, on wilbo666's page, but they don't look similar.
Can anyone help me with these connectors?

the top few pics are all for the auto transmisson
one of the pics might be igniter plug
and the other pic might be the air flow meter
did uget the air flow meter and the ignite
or did u buy it cheap of ebay with all the good stuff missing
not igniter
tops pics are for auto trans
next few pics are air flow meter
4 pin plug is for oxygen sensor probably
Yes, I have the igniter and it is plugged into a connector.
air flow meter I would have to check
Nope no air flow meter
1st one is most likely to fusebox enginebay (black)
2nd is od clutch for trans or spd sensor (2pin black)
3rd is tranmission gear selector (light grey)
4th is the solenoid plug trans (4 pin grey)
5th should be afm (5pin black)
sorry 4th O2 sensor plug just realised its with the afm plug
nope not engine bay plug
the last one or two are air flow meter for sure
the 4 pin one should be o2
and all the rest are for transmission inhibitor, solenoids, front and back speed sensors
u will need to source an air flow meter and u should also try get the pipe/housing it comes in as if u just get the
bare air flow meter and then fit it to a metal pipe then some guys have had issues as these sensors are very sensitive to the air flow around them
and have been tuned to suit the factory pipe
Alrighty ill work on getting those.
What do I need to do if I'm using the stock mx83 / cressida fuse box?
Aslong as I'm connected to the alternator, starter, and block it should be fine, right?
not hard to do
some people say there 7 wires only to hook up
but I've done afew and takes about two days
just probe all the wires and connect one at a time
Are you referring to probing the fuse box? It is cut and completely separated.
- can you explain
Are you sure jzs161 / aristos have a Air flow meter and not just a mass air flow sensor?
- or are we assuming they are the same
shoot me
tape is temporary just to prevent shorts until I'm 100% its right, everything else is soldered and heat shrunk.
that will never be 100% right
makes my bloody eyes hurt looking at it and my 5 yr old can do better heheheh
what are all the black wires on the ecu are u trying to lengthen the loom or did u do something stupid and buy a cut loom
ive done afew 2j 161 and they run an air flow and make sure u put an air cleaner on the intake as last one I did was in a
late model soarer and with thermos on it caused turbulence with the air going into air flow meter
anyway sorry but yr on your own as this looks like a very big headfk and I know what a headfk can be
Yes, it will probably run lean or rich if you do not use the stock aristo MAF and air box / filter.
-JDM jzs161 aristos use MAF not AFM
Aristo jzs161 has the fuse box and ecu in the engine bay... Thus the ecu wires need to be extended into the cab.
Send your 5 year old over, maybe he can help
Cheers
