wow. this place is dead
Ok so Hopefully i get this corona in the next 24 hours (ebay).
I keep it short. It will get a engine conversion of a 1uzfe ( ok with Ncop regs as its 4.0ltr max is 4.3) Now with this you need brake upgrade and id say suspension aswell.
I really want to keep it all toyota parts so what can i swap out the rear to get disc brakes. Also being toyota id guess there would be a swap for upgrading the front suspension aswell
wow. this place is dead
Thats what happens when you don't actually ask a question.

rt130. wit its starfire goodness.
Just picked it up. its auto so its slow But when you select gear the revs drop as if its a miss fire but as soon as you bring the revs up to drive its fine.
Aint had a real good gander at it but i suspect its over fuelling
Actually, for accuracy it'd be an XT130, not an RT

Personally I think a Disc brake rear end may not be needed, in reality about 70% of the braking force / effort is done by the front brakes, a good Rear drum setup is fine & will work well & as its the rear fade is not really going to be a concern .. If you still want to go disc rear a Toyota RT142 Avante disc rear end may be close, ( you will need to look for around a 85 model the last of the solid / Non IRS rear ends ) but its unlikely it will be a straight rear end swap & diff wise possibly not much stronger than what you already have ...
I would be looking at fronts up grades only for the moment & as has been said I think you are going to have issues with fitting a 1UZ in with the steering box set up .. I would be looking at a Beams engine or maybe a 1JZ Goodness, but length is going to be an issue there ..

ditching the 1uzfe engine idea and just gonna plonk another 4cyl motor in it.
Ive got a 3sgte front cut from a lexus lined up just waiting for tax money to come in and i'll buy it. Main reason for the change is i dont have alot fo time to muck around trying to fit a v8 into it. So stay tuned as i'll update when i buy it which will hopefully be next sat
Oh and the 1x starfire is pretty much dead. Compression is all over the shop so its nothing more then a boat anchor. May just donate it to the local tafe for people to learn on
