Day before my birthday
Doubt the AW11 will be going but I might have my KE70 skidmachine in some sort of thrashworthy condition!
Ok so it's that time again already; only 8 weeks to go!
All the usual stuff will be the same (including this post), apart from Warwick who has 'retired' as the organiser, so the morning briefing should be a little more to the point, and generally productive. Nothing is really changing though, just the MWSCC guys and I will be shouldering a little extra load.
Cost is $200 per car, anybody who's been will attest it's awesome value for the amount of track time you get. From all accounts the May day had a good turnout (unfortunately I had to miss only my second day in many years) so i'm happy to see these days continue to be viable for us to run. If you and a mate or two are keen to get out there with us, make sure you get them organised and make it along to the remaining days this year to show your support for us running these for 10+ years (Warwick did it for 14 years).
Remaining days this year are this one and 8th of November.
We run a limited number of cars so you pay per car and can cycle as many drivers through one car as you like, it's open track all day with a limit of 12 on circuit and a one in one out basis. I currently have at least 15 spots reserved for Toymodders, and can usually grab a couple more if we fill these up quick enough.
All the usual info, Thursday and Friday nights at the Pelican station next to the track (or in town if numbers are low and we leave it to the last minute like usual), bring CAMS or valid driver's licence, helmet, neck/wrist/ankle length clothing, sleeping bag, pillow and beverages if staying (accom is about $40/night depending on numbers).
No official timing means cheaper insurance (and therefore track time) and passengers are allowed for 'driver training purposes', but feel free to organise your own timing gear.
So, when you commit to coming, i will PM bank details to transfer to (incl for accomodation to book spots), then when i see the coin ($200 + $40/night) i will add you to this...

New car to set fire to I see
Shotgun a ride lol
i wonder if i can get trackday insurance
I should be in - although car is not running at the moment (dead battery, oops), and hence not registered.
I'm a maybe, am doing the phillip island 6 hour Aug 3/4 so might be pushing it a bit
Hi, me and a mate race our AE82 4AGE and our AE92 4AGZE. Some pics of our cars, we have plenty on this link.

I wonder if my missus will let me go as an anniversary present...
Will have to be the soobie though, the adub hasn't moved under it's own power for about a year now.
If Vito is bringing his 86 I'd be very keen to see if times are similar. And yes that means taking drivers out of the situation

yes.
you already have my money anyway. car is unbroked this time.
N/A for life...
Unbroked is always good. Who else is currently unbroked? Probably fewer than those who are broked i'm guessing?

My car is unbroked, but heavier due to finally fitting my roll cage (needs paint & padding yet), and about to do the scary proposition of cutting my rear brake lines to intercept them for the hydraulic handbrake.
But I won't be there anyway due to being in Europe. Saving of $200 here is slightly offsetting the $984 to hire an M3 at the Nurburgring...
BTW, anyone suggest a place to buy a Go-Pro? Seeing as I'm going OS, going to try to get it duty-free
Can only recommend an online search, pricing varies regularly. I do know a couple of people who bought cheaper out of Hong Kong or Singapore than locally duty free, so consider that. Ebay is probably a good place to start. Or buy mine so i can upgrade.
So we're getting closer, 7 weeks to go...

Cheers, 1st stop is Singapore. I've sent you a PM to stop cluttering this thread
Can't guarantee a shop in Singapore airport will be cheaper if you're only on stopover there; i meant they've bought off ebay.

You usually need to wander out of the airports to get to cheap places.
Kogan might be worth a try, not sure about their GoPro's but they grey import cameras that end up being a lot cheaper.
I'll be heading to Europe week after track day, so whilst I *could* make it, I actually don't have the leave to cover for it, unless I go unpaid, which I can't really afford.
