You'll find that the Power FC for jzz30 is a standalone ECU, which will require you to completely remove the auto ECU that is in there now.
In the final stages of converting my jzz30 from auto over to manual. (fitting a new turbo, fuel injectors, fuel pump, cams, etc.)
Q: Now that it's manual is there a HKS power FC i can use with the auto computer? if not what other options do i have to tune the engine? some help would be excellent especially if someone has experience with a jzz30 auto to manual conversion!

Ok so there should be no problems then right? just chuck the auto ECU and plug in a 1JZ Power FC. But in Getting rid of the stock ECU will i lose any other controls
Hi mate
You need to find out if the power fc is for a auto or manual JZZ30. Cos the harness to ecu plugs are different. You having an auto harness trying to put a manual power fc in will not work.

I dont think HKS made a power FC for the Auto soarer? (Thats why i was wondering if the manual would fit) Guess im back to square one. I can always just stick with the Apexi S-AFC II & S-AVCR but it will never be as flexible as a stand alone ECU Replacement! Q: Any other stand alone ECU's upto 5k worth looking at?
The haltech E11 v2 is supposed to be pretty good. Thats what i'm putting on my 2jzgte.

Hi,
I've done the same coversion on my Soarer and i dont think the difference in the looms is too major. If you look in the A'Pexi wiring diagrams for the SAFC and AVCR they both use the same wiring diagram for the auto and manual ecu. Plus can't you change the stock auto ecu to a stock manual ecu without any re-wiring so wouldnt that mean the power FC should be no different
JZZ30, manual + GT3040 =
That's exactly what i was thinking as Power FC's only come in auto for the JZX100.Originally Posted by tyottsoarer

Yeh that would mean you couldn't swap the ecu without swaping the harness aswell.
Just contacted my local performance shop and he confirmed that the power fc are only for the manual soarer's. I think you'll have to go for a complete wire in ecu.

Thanks for your help guys. Was hoping to use a Power fc but Think i will go the ezy route leave the stock auto ecu and just wire in the Apexi S-AFC II & S-AVCR and control fuel/air ratios and boost that way! bit scare to rip out all the wiring looms; sounds like a very time comsuming and expensive deal!
Cheers Guys.
P.S: if you here of a way that doesn't involve ripping out all the wiring harness would love to hear about it!
I have a 2jzgte map sencer and injectors if your interested.

I've already bought 850cc sard injectors, but thanx for the offer!
Ecu plugs are the same.
Power Fc will work!
Just plug it in.
