Maybe not what you are after - but Kings make springs to order to fit a TA22 (standard or lowered as you prefer). Pedders also carry a TA22 spring that is a fraction lower than standard. You can get shocks to fit from Peddars or Monroe.
Hi all
I am looking to buy myself some decent rear sports shock absorbers and springs for my ta22, but I've found that the majority of quality suppliers only tend to stock shocks for newer model cars. I figure there's bound to be something newer somewhere that uses the same rear shock design as the '22, and I was wondering if anybody knows what I should be looking for?
Cheers
Henry

hmm are those shocks adjustable or just replacement ones?
I was kinda hoping to avoid king springs because I've heard a lot of negative things about their performance..

king springs are the main brand I've used in my road and dirt track cars. I used Lovells in a Escort and one failed when driving to Lakeside near Brisbane and i only use kings since. Go and talk to your local King Springs centreas I did. I bought, 12 months ago, a set of TA22 front and rear standard height uprated springs for $350. uprated by approx 25%. i will be using car for everyday driver as well as dirt track with occasional bitumen sprints. i also bought from US, i think they are tokico HTS 102 long travel insert for front, which are adjustable both front and rear.

I use Monroe shocks that I got through Repco. The guy behind the desk owned a TA22 himself and swore by them.
They fit great and I haven't got any complaints.
As for springs I used King Springs KTRL-11 which is actually a TA23 spring. It's a half coil longer than the TA22 lowered type.

Depending on how Low you want to sit.
Copied from Gold28's build thread on Frosty & Grumpy, and similar to the setup in mine & Toymans TA23, and Rivers.
Rear Springs - Kings KMFL-04 which are a replacement for the rear of a TC-TG Gemini or the front of an RX2
Rear Shocks - Koni Red rear shocks (K80-2157SP1 from the rear of Holden HQ-WB,LH-UC)
Front Springs - Kings KTFL-10 (need to confirm)
Front Shocks - Koni yellow shocks for the front (K8641-1221SPT from the rear of an SW-20 MR2 slightly spaced)
My setup from City Suspension Penrith cost in the order of $1100-1200 supply only.

Beige.... The new Black!!!
Hmm well kings would save me a lot of stuffing around.. I had been checking out the koni shocks for the rears but hadn't decided on springs yet.. If it only cost you 1100/1200 for the whole setup I can't see the rear end alone costing me any more than 500..

No, 450-500 mine came out at.
I've never heard problems with kings either.

Not sure if this helps. At least a price reference.
