    Default AE92 4AGE 20V Exhaust and Headers

    Hi Everyone,

Moaaarrr questions about the 4AGE 20V Blacktop!!!

I think it's time I get a new exhaust and some better headers fitted to my car (in the process getting rid of the hideous cannon)

My question is obvious.. what size exhaust piping should I get/what should I get and what sort of headers should i get?

I just need a definite answer so I can get the exhaust changed as soon as possible

FYI the car is an AE92 Hatchback with a 4AGE 20V Blacktop

    Any help is appreciated

Stock Blacktop headers (4-2-1) are fairly good and will probably be suffice unless your running the car in a big money racing series. 2.5" exhaust is as big as you want to go on a small 1.6L NA, mandrel bends all the way with least amount of bends as possible.

Most headers terminate at 2 1/4 so either that or 2" would be the biggest you should run.
Any bigger and unless your doing 10,000rpm the flow is not there and the velocity dies in the arse.

Awesome, My stock headers are pretty crappy and look small. They also appear to be really badly dented

I would go 2 or 2-1/4" for a blacktop. Assuming straight through mufflers and mandrel bends.

Also, the stock secondary pipe sucks, look into replacing that with a better one, there's heaps of room for it.
