    Default 4age-Aero

    Hi

I have a quick question about the 4agze water pump, is it strong enough to push/pull water around twin Camry V6 radiators? Was going to run a single Camry V6 alloy radaitor when under normal stress 0-3000rpm and a 2nd at 3000rpm plus. To meet the minimum requirments, but unsure if the water pump could cope.

    Thanks

Firstly, what the hell kind of car/engine combo are you running that requires TWO Camry radiators?

...and how on earth could you have coolant going through only one radiator at low rpm then diverting into the second at higher rpm?

To answer your question though, I don't know the flow rate on a GZE pump, perhaps you would be better off looking at an electric pump? The Davies-Craig pumps flow up to 115L/minute and take the strain of driving the pump off the motor, which may be beneficial in a situation where you need two rads to cool it..

What the fuck are you running where you can mount two Camry radiators?
I would say it probably could as there is a fair bit of piping in AW11's but there are better options...

Here is examples of the intercooler setup which I will be using. Notice the twin intercoolers per engine.

Also what's the difference between an exhaust driven supercharger and a turbocharger??

Hang on, are you wanting to know about twin intercoolers or twin radiators?

Also, an exhaust-driven supercharger IS a turbocharger. Turbocharger is short for turbine supercharger.

Throttle sensor opens the 2nd radiator, does the same for the 2nd intercooler

I am asking about Radiator Water pump flow ability, but as i dnt have a photo of the radiaotrs in place, all i could find was the twin intercooler setup i will be using. Which operates on the same principle, at low pressure the top intercooler with the fan is on, at high psi both are open to cool the intake air. It is operated much like TVIS but with a pressure switch not a throttle switch.

You're still not telling us WHY you need 2 radiators, or what engine you're running, or what it is going in to that requires so much cooling (both coolant and intake)...

    That would help.
Its a Hornet STOL. Engine is the Toyota 4agze modified with the use with an exhaust driven supercharger.

Wont you lose all your boost pressure when you enlarge the system? Wont that cause a huge flat spot in the power delivery? How does throttle switching make something open at a particular rpm.

Pump has more then enough ability to flow a huge volume at the higher RPMs, 3000+, radiators don't offer that much resistance even in series. The head/lift pressure is what slows their performance.
Aerocraft, even STOL, aren't know for liking additional weight, especially from asinine ideas like this one!
