Why won't a T50 Bell/clutch housing fit over 3tgte clutch?

I have a 3tc I am building in near future, with a Fidanza alloy flywheel and Exedy clutch from a 3tgte. I am fitting a T50, from AE86 Sprinter, with TRD gear kit upto it. I do have a clutch plate to match with T50.
I have heard and read that it won't fit in T series T50 bellhousing, no one has said why. So why doesn't it fit? I don't have all parts nearby to setup and check at the moment.

The T50 wont fit over a 3TGTE clutch because the 3TG clutch plate is around 25mm bigger and hence has a bigger clutch body, too big to clear using a T50 bellhousing The xlutch itself will fit on a 3TGTE flywheel its the bellhousing size thats the problem.

Thanks for reply. As said in original post do not have all parts nearby to test fit. I was offered these items at good price when dollar exchange was far better, and couldn't find reason why it wouldn't work.
Looks like I could be putting a new 3tgte Fidanza flywheel and Exedy clutch kit on the market in the future.

Yep, unless u swap to a W55 gearbox....
