ST162 3SGE celica - No spark

Got a 86 celica 3sge auto that just won't spark.
Tested so far:
Coil = 0.7 ohms resistance , terminals are getting battery voltage of 12.9 Volts.
Leads look ok.

I don't have a spare 3sge coil laying around to swap one out, i do have a bosch 12V electronic igntion coil ( not a can type) , can i substitute this purely for testing purposes?
Also, how do i go about testing if the igniter is any good or not?

Anything else i should be checking out?

Further testing found no voltage at distributor plug with ignition turned on, is this a faulty ignitor ? or something wrong with the wiring or ECU?
This car is completely stock and wiring is all factory.
