Default Dismantling a GT4 Celica Transfer case housing

    Hey all,
I received my transfer case from New Zealand and its ended up being dropped. The edge where the seal sits in has broken off. I may be able to get a replacement transfer case housing for that side but I would need to dismantle mine.

I took the 10 or so bolts off on the drivers side output shaft but there must be a circlip or something else holding the bearing or case in place. Could anyone advise on what I should do from here or if I might need any special tools?

I'm still having trouble splitting the transfer case rh housing

I removed the shaft holder and 2 circlips but its fused on and won't come off. There is a mention of a magnetic ball which supposably holds the shaft in place but I can't get it off.

Could anyone advise? Really hoping to try get it split before the new one arrives.
    Thanks

Yeh was going to say it would have been fused together and a gentle tap would help you, you should be able to buy that housing as a seperate part

Thanks for the Info. After some research I was able to find a St185 transfer case housing. This way I get to use the caldina one and I know everything will be right.

    Thanks again

Look in to getting it out of nz vs aus ,you may find it a lot cheaper that way, that's if you want a nice shinny new one
