A lot of cold beers to help make it go easy
Should be a easy swap, are you putting the box in with engjne or after wards?

Callum - there are a few tricks to an A40 to T50 conversion. There is a good post on this here

Not having a baby half way through the conversion definitely helps progress....

Seconding Dan. Many coldies and some mates to push and shove
T series engine swaps are as simple they come, pull out and drop in

Doesn't really matter if you do gearbox first or not, but it saves from having to bolt the thing back together again when it's down in there.

well i test fitted the motor without the gearbox and i was lucky i did, i need to cut a bit out of the crossmember as the external wastegate hits the corner of the crossmember, would it weaken the x member if i were to cut out a bit of the corner and weld up another piece fill it in?

putting the engine in seemed pretty easy, only problem was the legs of the crane hit the LCAs so the car was rolled onto some wood and that solved the probrem.

    Cheers,
    Callum

Generally figure out how many $$ it'll cost then add 50%

If you weld another piece in there's nothing to stop you from bracing it to be sure, So i can't see why not
