A friend of mine used to have a car with one, it certainly went nicely. He never mentioned lousy fuel economy though..

    Osix,
i have the next generation eng on from that, mine is a sohc ca18et (not twin cam), it to has 8 plugs and is similar technology, and yes sir-re, dont expect to get great fuel economy, mostly due to the turbo design and the ecu's of the day. with an aftermarket ecu you will be able to turn a bit more economy orrientated on cruise, from memory with a factory ecu i use to get around 400km to 50lts if i was being a very good lil boy, otherwise that could drop to 280-300km for 50lt at the spank of a hooker. Mind you when i took turbo off and put a na exhaust manafold on, i was able to put bucket loads of timming into it and now get 600km to 50lts regulary.
