    Default MX83 rear shock question

I have an 1989 MX83 with fairly new KYB rear shocks and S14 springs. With two passengers in the back it loves to sag its butt and tuck the wheels in the wheel well. My question is will the MA70 rear shock and S14 spring combo provide a stiffer ride and in turn prevent it from sagging less, OR should I modify and install S13 rear coilovers. My guess is the S14 springs may be too soft for the cressida since it weighs like a thousand kilograms more than a 240SX. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Mx83 coilovers are overly expensive and id like the rear end to be a little stiffer. I finally decided to install s13 coilovers and convert the front suspension to s14.

BC coilovers are like $600.00 dollars for the rears only.

let us know what the results are with silvia suspension.

S14 stock springs seem too soft. stiffer shocks will not effect hight, there job is to dampen. stiff shocks can make it appear stiffer over bumps but thats not really what they should be doing.

I put a set of lowered r33 springs in the rear (r34 springs will fit as well) same height as s14 standards but much firmer...completely transformed the ride and got rid of most of the bounciness in the rear..s14 rears are horrible , S14 fronts are not too bad at all ..A few people have driven the car and been surprised by the ride quality of a car lowered on the cheap...

one of my mx83s is currently sitting on S13 oem rear shocks and its way to soft.
coils over would be stiffer im guessing?

i have been thinking about the s14 front end also, but using everthing, and mod the Xmember with S14 rack and all
