Dneg, I know the other guys we go to the track with stay at a hotel in town that isn't too exxy.

Can't remember the name, hopefully Garth can chime in (The Heritage rings a bell).

Is it for both Thursday and Friday nights we have an issue?

That the Alpine Heritage we can get thursday but no friday? Maybe try the Goulburn Central Motor Lodge, that's another decent/cheap one i've stayed at before. If we have to we'll stay at a different one each night; this is a bit last minute, sorry for calling you in to help on short notice.

Edit: Also, confirming i agree with your accomodation numbers, with a maybe for each night still; waiting to hear confirmation on whether Mick is staying Thursday (not on here, said he was) and B24 SW20 is still keen for Friday - though you may have got confirmation via PM?

Tried jumping directly from the battery to the starter motor & bypassing the key?
I've had a few keys where there's enough current lose through that to cause the starter motor to not get a "start" signal.

If that works, you should wire up a relay.
Use the wire from the ignition to starter motor to trigger the relay (via ground), and then run a fused wire from the battery to the relay, then from the realy to the starter motor.
This gives a much shorter current run.

And as Draven said, there's enough hills around to clutch start if need be. I've spent more than 1 event doing that.

FYI, won't be at the Brook's Rd meet up. Got a mate's birthday dinner that evening.

Dneg, Steve (B24 SW20) has confirmed he's staying Friday night as well, and Mick said to me he was in for Thursday.

I'm working my backside off getting the car ready. Turns out, rewiring a car just before a trackday can be challenging. Its almost ready with a few small faults to sort out tomorrow and that's done. Still have the turbo install, wastegate piping, oil change before its loaded onto the trailer.
If there is anyone coming along who is 'up to tune' with the Adaptronic/DL1/Dash 2 set-up, you are welcome to stop by and see if all is working correctly.
I'm looking forward to having a easy day, testing the car to make sure all is ok. Hopefully, if its working well we can open it up and see what it can do.

Mate this is turning into a real shit fight, I've been browsing on my phone all day and the only option is the Astor as they have family rooms for $100 a pop with rooms available both nights. Queen and two single beds.
If your paying, you will have to book it though.

Its ontop of a pub which is alright too

Willows Motel also has family rooms that suit 4 but $200 a night

That Astor place sounds alright and 2 rooms or six beds should do the trick?

Garth has all the cash so I guess we'll have to wait for his 2c (pardon the pun)

Happy either way, i was thinking of the track cabins too, as that's where B24 SW20 is staying Thursday. I'm more than happy to call them up to provide my cc number for the booking if need be, can you make the booking and then let me know who i need to call? If you and Matt are ok-ing this place i'm happy to go on that; name rings a bell but don't think i've ever stayed there so don't know why...

I'm waiting to hear back how many spare beds the mwscc guys have at the alpine heritage but i'm not too confident they can absorb 5-6.
