I'm out. Just back from 6 weeks holidays. Car needs some paint, injectors (ordered), new turbo (ordered), and a new turbo manifold made up (not ordered) and a tune.

Will be out of action for a while, but the power was (or at least felt) seriously down. Still pulled a 1:08 last day tho

Money is showing Seb, just not cleared yet. Looks like a good group of cars coming together for this one. Dneg, not quite there on pelican numbers, only you, me, hocker and vito at this stage. In town has worked pretty well the last couple of times; happy to sort the pelican if we get the numbers up a bit further but it's a $250/night minimum spend for the bunkhouse.

Thought I had identified the problem, have put the car back together but it is still there.....

The knock? The exact same knock or failed again?

Found no evidence of bearing failure (without pulling the caps off admittedly), no heat marks, no movement in the rods, no metal filings anywhere.

However found the power steering pump pulley was cracked through and bent, but still in one piece. So assumed it was the pulley as giving it a hit moved the parts independently and gave a knocking noise through the joints.

Alas, it would seem that was not it, and i have wasted a huge amount of time...
