I think it's the T50 bellhousing, extractor clearance and the 12:1 comp ratio causing fitment/ability to crank issues

Half decent reduction jobby should do the trick, how many times does it get started a year?

I thought he was running a stock starter. Suddenly their "park it on a hill or push it every time" advice for Peter/mr2360 doesn't sound so exciting? There's two of them too, what's the problem?? Just take turns push starting it.

I could offer a smallport reduction starter sitting at Elanora, but it's been sitting there a long while and is a bit corroded in places so i can't guarantee it works... or fits from the sounds of it?

No, it is not interchangeable, at least not with the one off my E51 gearbox. The bolts to the bellhousing are spaced differently, and the starter itself is a different length, so you cant swap housings over (we tried)

Looking like hocker is out, my sources have come up with nothing... but I will still come down on my own at least yes.

    yep.
this is the 4th one ive broken. last one i dunno exactly what happened as it happened while it was getting tuned, previous to that i snapped the shaft clean off.
ive got enough charge going to starter, just not a capable starter to crank it. it mostly the kickback from having to crank it that does the damage.

we had some fun trying, and then realised that they are different lengths. ghaids.
also as it hasnt been run (apart from being started once start last saturday) since nationals as ive been busy doing other stuff. im going to a motor khana next weekend (to stick it up some evos and WRXs) so i will get my motorsport fill there. BUT i will be back for august and will be trying to do eastern creek between now and then.

i do appreciate all the encouragement and not giving up though gents, its just this time its not meant to be.

    7-ish?

Fucking couldnt get the front camber, something is screwed with my right hub or something.
Anyway, camber tops maxed out, running a shade under 2deg on the front with 2.5deg on the rear lol

Should be interesting tomorrow, bit pissed but I did leave it late

    Ignition switch
    Relay
    Starter solenoid

Tried to start it jumping 12v directly to the solenoid? Remove the relay in the fuse box and stick a hot wire in the pin

OK maybe we should scrap the Brooks Rd meet and just meet at the motel. If you guys give me a call when you're nearly there I'll let you know the room numbers. 0439 848 359

At least I can head down early and miss the traffic on Pennant Hills Rd this way (and have a few bevvies whilst i wait )
