The HeartKids Hillclimb is on again - entries have now opened for this fun 2 lap event that also happens to be a fundraiser for a very worthy charity.

Unfortunately it's the same day as the mgcc motorkhana next door and I enjoy the khanas more.

Last minute entry , no time for preep ( as usual ) my best tyres are as hard as bulldozer tracks , should'nt have to worry about wear , unless they delaminate. But I will be there and ready to doooo itttt.

Great day. Weather was fantastic. Just a great fun day.

My car smashed a record and came second outright. Shame it wasn't me driving...

Toasted 4-5 fan belts. 11,000rpm at the top of the hill will do that...

On the other hand, looking back to the very first run that I did in my car in Oct 2009 with a buggered engine, standard diff and box I am going no faster now with 60rwkw more, W57 and KAZZ two way LSD.

Might be time for some reflection or at the very least put someone in the car that can drive to see what it is really capable of. Was a fun day though.

I stopped in for a quick look after completing 8 runs at the motorkhana (lunch break) and was surprised to see only one run had been completed at the hillclimb!
The passenger laps I saw looked much more leisurely than last time too.

Lenjiman your old rolla was at the khana.
