Toymods NSW Event Calendar

Hi Guys,

I thought it would be a good idea to have a calendar for all Toymods events (at the moment NSW only, but can include other states). The benefits of this are:
-Sync with your smartphone / thunderbird / outlook to be kept up to date with new Toymods events
-Date/Time/Venue changes automatically update for all people synced to the calendar
-Receive reminders about events you want to attend
-Those using smartphones can easily navigate to the location with the phone's maps software with only a few clicks (verified working with Sense4 calendar and google navigation on HTC one XL, assuming similar function on other android and iOS phones).

So far I have added:
monthly meetings
Al Palmer's Toyota show
Wakefield park track day
Old school Toyota meet & greet
Toyota Nationals
Cruise to Wollombi Tavern

Can people play around with this, see if you like it, give suggestions etc. If people actually use it I'll try to keep it updated. Also looking for feedback on whether it would be better to have seperate calendars for official events and social events or keep it all together.

Would this be linked to the Calendar already found at the top of the page next to the FAQ? Currently it doesn't show any events apart from the monthly meet-up, but I think it would be good to have all calendars feeding off the same information source to avoid confusion

Nah I made it from scratch. I agree it would be good for them to be running from the same source. I can't see any way to access the forum calendar outside of the forum, but maybe the link can be made to go the other way? Somebody with more knowledge of how the forum software works may be able to help.

There isn't a simple solution to linking the Forums Calender and Google apps so this initiative of yours needs to be maintained separately.

I briefly looked into options yesterday and it all involves coding and looks to be clunky at best as the Forum calender hasn't been really updated since Vb2 (ie nearly 10 years) and is just out of date with current trends. (like iCal)
