Bloody Cancer, why does it get good ppl and not the shit.
Lost my best mate at the age of 30.
Ill try attend this, cruise the a70 down.
Well as some of you will know and others won't Phil and Em have gone through a bit of a tough time latley.
Em was diagnosed with and is being treated for Cancer. Since then Phil has become the fulltime carer for Em and their beautiful little girl April.
To give them a hand through this period Em's sisters and the couples friends are organising a Fund Raising Afternoon at Rose Cottage.
As above there is a $25 cover charge, with kids getting in free. There will be a BBQ, raffles and a silent auction. I have been involved in getting some items for the auction and I hope there will be some Toyota Related items to interest Toymods and CCG people as well as a fabricator donating some fabrication time.
This is a fantastic cause and I hope people will head out and support a wonderful family.
As well as replying down here. IF YOU do intend on going please ring or email the above numbers and let them know of your attendance.

As above, will see if I can make it otherwise happy to make a donation. So scary to think how things can change so quickly.
If in doubt power out
As an aside, Al Palmer's show is on the same day, maybe see if someone can organise a donation box or the like there?

Driving back from Melbourne that day so also interested in making a PayPal donation.
Good to hear little April has done so well too. the NICU team work magic and I also recommend if anyone in ACT is thinking of making donations, they should be the first on your list. Our little girl Ruby had to spend her first week there, the support and comfort they are able to provide is immeasurable. Not to mention the chance at life newborns are given which would otherwise not be possible.

Thanks Stitty for this thread, I didn't realise you had the lowdown on this, sounds like you know more than me already about itI think most of the communication has gone out via Facebook.
Cheers all for the well-wishes, we are working through the various stages of treatment, and yes, April is a good distraction from the darker realitiesEven though we know cancer is so prevalent (it's hard to find someone who doesn't know of a family member or friend that has suffered some form of cancer), seeing the impact that it has first-hand is a real eye-opener.
You are absolutely right maj, the NICU staff are some of the most dedicated and passionate staff within the health system, their knowledge and and support has been amazing. We were fortunate that April only had to spend 2 weeks in there, some bubs/parents spend months with extremely premature babies who would not have survived without such facilities.
Cheers
Phil
