1jz Automatic ok in L or R wont work in D or 2

as title says works 100% when the selector is in the L position or the R position. When I put it in drive or 2 it wont accelerate or do anything and then stalls.
Car is jza70 running soarer ecu. Ive checked all the wires are correct, except for the ABS sp2-. could this have something to do with why the auto is acting funny?
any help greatly appreciated

sounds like youve got it wired up wrong! like the lock up is occurring wen u shift into 2nd, do you know the box is ok?

hmm hadnt thought of that, so in theory if i swap the S2 and S3 wires around that should occur?
The box was working before I swapped to a soarer ecu

not entirely sure on the a70/z30s wiring, but it should be the same, am guessing its a jza70 box (with line pressure cable/kick-down cable (cable off the TB going to gbox))
