is it AFM? then probably.
if it is MAP, then probably, unless there is big difference in efficiency (like major headwork or big change in stuff because of turbo change)..
not on boost.. very little difference
(maybe .. grain of salt)
hey guys,
im in the process of upgrading the stock twins on a 1ggte with a single turbo. its running the standard ECU with an XEDE interceptor and i need to know if i can drive it with the new turbo on the current tune. it will only be a too and from thing as ill get the whole thing re tuned but ill need to drive to the exhaust shop and then the tuner.
im just worried that the current tune is spot on with no extra fuel anywhere and if i start making boost sooner in the rev range with the new turbo will i run it lean or will the ecu see the extra airflow and give me more fuel.
so will the standard ECU run a single turbo safely. not well just safely.
cheers,
Michael

Bodge the wastegate open and drive it NA
i could drive it with the right foot boost controller set to 0psi..... but every time i try that it seems to suffer from"boost creep".
sounds like ill be right and yeah its AFM. i might still trailer it to the exhaust shop for new dump/down pipe and intercooler hotside pipe.
