PS - Anyone received their 86 or BRZ yet? Looking forward to see who comes with one first.
Especially if it does well enough to surprise a few people ;-)

Nope, cars don't need to be run in these days! Beat the hell out of it straight out of the box...seriously. Babying stuff doesn't do it any good at all
Bevan and I are in, as long as it will be <15 people or so per session!
IIRC you'll need some heavy WOT (maybe not redline) to bed the rings in and prevent glazing. That said, I'm pretty sure a modern engine can take pretty much anything you can give it, Honda motorbike engines for example are run at redline+full load for a full minute before the engine is fitted to the bike...*run-in*
Subaru help you out anyway

But from what I've read you really just need 50-75% throttle with the most important thing being varying the speed of the engine and not letting it stay at constant rpm's for long periods of time. Most of it needs to be done in the first 100km.... I just took it around one of my streets with a few hills at 40km on the clock
anyway bought some filters today from subaru for $17 vs toyota @ $35.
And current km
Just need 900km more in 1day.....
