A reminder that the first event of the series is on Sunday week, the 13th of Jan. So, get your entries in and let me know if you'll be entering as I need to organise the running order.

PS - Anyone received their 86 or BRZ yet? Looking forward to see who comes with one first.

Especially if it does well enough to surprise a few people ;-)

Ok, I just transferred $65 entry fee and $50 for another year's AASA licence.
Now I just have to get my new aircon compressor fitted this week so I'm not boiling hot.

Nice. Yes, forgot about having to run it in. Look forward to seeing it sometime.

My ETA seems to have moved from Jan to Mar! I'm not sure why, after 12 months, the ETA still isn't firm. When did you order your 86?

Nope, cars don't need to be run in these days! Beat the hell out of it straight out of the box...seriously. Babying stuff doesn't do it any good at all

Bevan and I are in, as long as it will be <15 people or so per session!

Orded back on the 11th June. Received an extra allocation car from the extra allocation batch range. Toyota WA (unlike tmca) seem to match stock to current orders, it just may be that your order did not match what was arriving. What and when did you order?

I do my own style run in which involves different load conditions and a variety of engine braking However WOT runs are off the table for the moment

IIRC you'll need some heavy WOT (maybe not redline) to bed the rings in and prevent glazing. That said, I'm pretty sure a modern engine can take pretty much anything you can give it, Honda motorbike engines for example are run at redline+full load for a full minute before the engine is fitted to the bike...*run-in*

    Subaru help you out anyway

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=OcXVUsrcots

But from what I've read you really just need 50-75% throttle with the most important thing being varying the speed of the engine and not letting it stay at constant rpm's for long periods of time. Most of it needs to be done in the first 100km.... I just took it around one of my streets with a few hills at 40km on the clock

anyway bought some filters today from subaru for $17 vs toyota @ $35.

    And current km

Just need 900km more in 1day.....
