    Yeah stocker FPR.

Surge tank and lift pump will solve my issues I reckon.

Im gonna have the lift pump filling a surge tank under the car, then somehow mount the pump off the bottom of the surge, or at least in line with the bottom of it. return from the engine into the top of the surge again, then another return from the top, back to the tank.

I figure if It doesnt fix the issue and it turns out to be a faulty pump after all, I'll still have a sick track ready fuel system, and I can just warranty the pump for a new one...

Okay may not be as much of a suction issue as I thought.

I pulled the pump off today to find a bunch of crap inside the inlet.
Broken off plastic pieces and lots of black looking crap, feels like rubber. I can see a piece of plastic from the fuel pump broken off inside the inlet of the pump too, so I'm thinking the pump has damage, hence why the problem has been getting worse with more use. Now even with a lift pump feeding it, it runs for a few only seconds then gets noisy.

I can buy another walbro 255 from work tomorrow and ill see what that does...

Does anyone know what the symptoms of a shot FPR are? The type of problems I'm experiencing?

can you get some pictures of the crap and bits briken off inside?

was it a real walbro? (were lots of fakes around a few years ago?)

and maybe now is a good time to put a pickup filter in the tank ?

when you do fit some filters, make sure anything pre-pump is quite coarse compared to the EFI-rated filter.

however, it does sound like you've borked the pump if there's FOD inside it.

    So...

Problem ended up being the FPR...

I took it off and hooked lines up to it and turned the pump on, instant FP noise, its almost a complete restriction, there was only a dribble of fuel coming out the return... Then when I unplugged the hose from the reg, noise went away instantly. I can blow through the entire fuel system from the outlet of the pump to the front of the rail and its free of restriction, so the problem must be the FPR.

I've ordered a replacement from eBay so hopefully that gets sent quickly then I can have the car back on the road!

Thanks for all the help guys!
