I was there last year as a spectator but would like to try and get my st162 down there in the show if you would allow me.build date is nov 85. Is there any requirements for how good the car should look? As the clearcoat on mine is a bit peeled.

No real requirements per se apart from being over the 25 year age rule which yours is. As you can see from previous years it does however tend to be dominated by chrome bumpered pre 1980s cars.

We should also promote the "plan" early. Last year we won best presented club so we would like to have another crack at that.

So we will meet at Calder BP on the Calder Highway at 7am, for a 7.30am departure.

Have your $20 ready so you can get in smoothly. Stick together as a group on the way up there.

Once we are in we will head to the oval (the area in the middle of the racecourse) and line up along the edge like we have done in previous years.

Bring sunscreen, hats, drinks and anything you might want to BBQ, as we will have a BBQ there on the day.

Every year we have a case of someone with a car newer than 25 years old try to get in and get declined at the gate, which leads to disappointment, so I would strongly recommend coming in something old and interesting for this one.

good points there adam another point , it also would be good if the tccv members wore their hats or shirts
and we may be able to bring some for sale ,
as adam pointed out , we have to be early , and arrive in a group , for those who dont know why we do it this way
is ,coz the guys that direct the traffic are volunteers from various service clubs and are directed to fill up gaps ,
they dont give a rats about people that turn up late and want to drive through spectators and other traffic to be with there club
each year we read on the forums about guys stating that they "slept in / got pissed the night before /forgot about it missed the turm off / abducted by aliens
we have heard it all before , if you want to be part of this great event , make an effort and a bit of forward planning and you wont be disapointed

Will do my best to fix the car up and make it look a bit neater than its current state from now until the day.
Is there any spots that may he hard to get into or onto with a car on superlows and a bodykit? As i would have to decide to either leave kit on or take kit off.

Entry roads are all just normal roads fiynix

Exit road is a bit of a dirt/grass combination, but I don't recall it being difficult ground to cover.

I am sure your body kit will be fine.
